Great Expectations – Charles Dickens

Six year old orphan Pip meets a mysterious and frightening stranger at his parents’ grave side one dark night. Living with his mean sister and her gentle husband, Pip later meets the bizarre Miss Havisham – who was jilted at the altar and years later still wears her wedding dress, with her wedding breakfast decomposing on the table. Little does Pip realise the impact that these strange individuals will have on his life. When his fortunes turn, a startling discovery lies in wait for him.

    The descripiction painted the scene. The storyline was very good, although I couldn’t understand everything and sometimes I found it a bit monotonous, but overall, it was great.
